Terms & Conditions

1. Contract Period: The contract will be for one year, extendable for a further one year if required.

2. Medical Fitness: Selected retired employees must pass a medical fitness examination from a Pakistan Railways Hospital only.

3. Ineligibility: Those who retired compulsorily, were removed, dismissed, or retired on medical grounds are not eligible for appointment.

4. Salary & Allowances: Selected retired employees will draw salary in BS-06, BS-09, BS-11, BS-12, and BS-14 according to their last pay drawn, along with usual allowances. However, they will not be entitled to any distribution toward gratuity and pension.

5. Posting: Selected retired employees may be posted anywhere in the entire Railway System.

6. Category Eligibility: Only those retired employees who have worked in the above categories are eligible for contract appointment.

7. No TA/DA: No Travel Allowance or Daily Allowance will be paid to retired employees called for interview and medical examination.

8. Right to Reject: The Competent Authority has the right to reject any application without assigning any reason. The number of posts may also be changed without assigning any reason.
