Applications are invited by Pakistan Railways, Headquarters Office, Lahore, for the appointment/engagement of retired supervisory staff from the Carriage & Wagon and Mechanical Loco Departments on a contract basis for a period of one year. Applications are invited from suitable retired employees who retired on superannuation (60 years of age) and are physically fit.

1. TXR / Grade-III

   • BPS: 14

   • Experience: Minimum 20 years experience in rolling stock repair and maintenance

2. Foreman / Grade-I

Age Limit

• Maximum age limit for contract appointment is 62 years.

Terms & Conditions of Contract Appointment

1. Only those retired employees who have previously worked in the relevant category are eligible.

2. Selected retired employees will draw salary in BS-06, BS-09, BS-11, BS-12, and BS-14, according to their last pay drawn, along with usual admissible allowances under contract appointment rules.

3. No gratuity or pension benefits shall be admissible during the contract period.

4. The initial contract period will be one year, extendable for another year subject to requirement and performance.

5. The Competent Authority reserves the right to reject any application without assigning any reason.

6. Number of posts may be increased or decreased without prior notice.

7. Selected candidates must pass a medical fitness examination from Pakistan Railways Hospital only.

8. Employees who were compulsorily retired, removed, dismissed, or retired on medical grounds are not eligible.

9. Only shortlisted candidates will be issued call letters.

10. No TA/DA will be admissible for interview or medical examination.

11. Selected employees may be posted anywhere in the Pakistan Railways system.

• Applications must be submitted within 20 days from the date of publication of this advertisement in newspapers. Late applications will not be entertained.

• A processing fee of Rs. 1,000/- per application must be deposited at:

  • CCT Cash Office, Lahore

  • All Station Masters and Booking Offices of Pakistan Railways

• The Miscellaneous Receipt (MR) must be attached with the application.
