Situation Vacant (Apprentice Recruitment – Operational Categories)

Pakistan Railways, Lahore Division, invites applications from candidates belonging to the specified districts falling under the territorial jurisdiction of Lahore Division for recruitment on a contract basis in operational categories. Selected candidates will undergo prescribed training and must be declared medically fit by the Divisional Medical Officer, Pakistan Railways, Lahore.

1. Pointsman (BPS-05)

Department: Transportation

Qualification

• Matric (2nd Division)

• One-year recognized course/diploma (where applicable)

2. Gateman (BPS-05)

Department: Mechanical / Transportation

Qualification

• Matric (2nd Division)

Age Limit

• 18 to 25 years

• General age relaxation of 15 years as per Government rules.

Additional Age Relaxation

• Ex-Servicemen: Upper age limit relaxable according to length of service rendered in Armed Forces (maximum 15 years).

• Scheduled Castes / Buddhist Community: 3 years.

• Railway employees with 20 years of service (on closing date): 10 years.

• Son of deceased civil servant who died during service: 5 years (in addition to general relaxation).

Note: If a candidate is entitled to age relaxation under more than one category, relaxation will be allowed in only one category.

Recruitment will be made according to Government quota policy, including:

• Son of Railway Employee (Serving / Retired / Deceased – 16-02 quota)

• Ex-Servicemen

• Minorities (other than Muslims)

5. Relationship Certificate (for Son of Railway Employee quota)

Processing Fee

• Rs. 500/- in the form of Postal Order

• In favor of Divisional Personnel Officer, Pakistan Railways, Lahore
