Position 1: Technical Analyst – CBA (OG-I)

Educational / Professional Qualification

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in IT / Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent, OR

• Graduation with a Master’s degree in IT / Computer Science or equivalent from a local or international university/college/institute recognized by the HEC of Pakistan.

Preferred Qualifications

• Candidates holding relevant certifications will be preferred.

• Candidates having experience with the FIS PROFILE Core Banking System will be given preference.

Experience

• Hands-on experience (minimum 3 years) in maintenance and/or configuration of Core Banking Systems and/or Allied Solutions.

Other Skills / Required Competencies

• Proficiency with Linux and Windows operating systems.

• Working knowledge of Middleware (Apache/WebSphere).

• Ability to display excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored to technical and non-technical audiences across all organizational levels, including executives and management.

• Strong understanding of the IT project lifecycle and change management processes.

• Excellent working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage projects, problems, service requests, and escalations according to defined policies, processes, procedures, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

• Ability to prioritize tasks based on business impact and urgency.

Outline of Main Duties / Responsibilities

• Identify solution designs and conduct technical risk analysis for change requests or new solutions in the Core Banking environment by comparing them against application architecture blueprints and security guidelines.

• Coordinate with systems vendors, server/OS/storage experts, and other technical teams to validate infrastructure requirements, technical details, and comprehensive vendor evaluation sheets.

• Ensure unauthorized access is prevented and security protocols are followed.

• Foster a service-oriented culture through effective communication, teamwork, and collaboration.

• Perform any other assignments as directed by supervisors.

• Graduation with a Master’s degree in IT / Computer Science from a local or international university/college/institute recognized by the HEC of Pakistan.

• Candidates holding relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, CompTIA, etc.) will be preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Systems Administration, preferably in a banking or financial services environment.

Other Skills / Required Competencies

• Ability to work within a cohesive, high-performing, and collaborative team environment.

• Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, team management, and time management skills.

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2008, 2012, 2016, 2019) including Active Directory user management.

• Familiarity with virtualization environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).

• Knowledge of SIEM solutions integration and security best practices.

Outline of Main Duties / Responsibilities

• Manage the centralized endpoint security solution, including Antivirus (AV), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), and Extended Detection and Response (XDR).

• Implement security standards, including encryption and access controls.

• Perform backup activities and conduct routine hardware and software audits to ensure compliance with standards, policies, and OEM configuration guidelines.

• Monitor system performance and implement necessary changes to improve efficiency and reliability in accordance with established procedures.

• Implement, configure, and troubleshoot Windows Failover Clustering.

• Maintain and manage virtualized environments and server infrastructures.

• Implement and manage integration with SIEM solutions for security monitoring.

• Administer and manage SCCM, DNS, and the Root CA server, as well as administer certificates installed on Windows-based applications.

• Implement patches and updates based on vulnerability assessment findings and provide appropriate resolutions for incidents as required.

• Perform any other assignments as directed by supervisors.
