Our client, a Karachi-based organization, is seeking to appoint an experienced and dynamic professional for the following senior management position. The company operates in the clean energy sector and is expanding its portfolio in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
Senior Management Position – Business Development (Battery Energy Storage System)
The selected professional will be responsible for leading the commercial strategy and growth of the company’s Battery Energy Storage portfolio. The role emphasizes identifying new markets, securing strategic partnerships, and closing high-impact deals, while shaping the organization’s footprint in the rapidly evolving clean and renewable energy landscape.
This position requires a deep understanding of energy storage technologies, regulatory frameworks, and customer requirements to drive long-term business success.
Design and implement business development strategies to achieve organizational goals, focusing on revenue growth and market expansion in the BESS sector.
Analyze market trends, policy developments, and competitive dynamics to guide strategic direction.
Identify and pursue high-value opportunities in utility-scale, commercial & industrial, and grid service markets.
Build and maintain a strong business pipeline through proactive client engagement, competitive bidding, and strategic alliances.
Drive the development of proposals, pricing structures, and contract negotiations to secure new business.
Establish and manage partnerships with IPPs, utilities, developers, EPCs, OEMs, and technology providers.
Represent the company at industry events, forums, and conferences to enhance brand visibility and market influence.
Oversee complete project lifecycles — from initiation and development to execution and delivery.
Ensure timely completion, adherence to budget, and maintenance of quality standards across BESS projects.
Lead and mentor a team of business development and sales professionals.
Foster a performance-driven culture with clear KPIs and structured professional development plans.
Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to industry standards in all business and delivery processes.
Minimum 16 years of education, preferably a Master’s degree from a HEC-recognized university or an equivalent foreign degree.
Preferred disciplines include Business Administration, Engineering, Marketing, or related fields.
8–10 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in a large national or multinational organization.
5–7 years of functional experience in a similar senior-level role with demonstrated business development success in the energy storage or related sector.
Strong knowledge of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) technologies, including lithium-ion, flow batteries, and system integration.
Understanding of market applications such as frequency regulation, peak shaving, and demand shifting.
Proven ability to negotiate and close deals within the energy sector.
Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
The candidate should preferably be not more than 45 years old as of the last date of application submission.
