Vacancy Announcement – Procurement Officer (Project Site)

Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation (PMDC) is a state-owned enterprise under the administrative control of the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), Government of Pakistan. PMDC is engaged in the exploration, mining, and marketing of various minerals across Pakistan.

PMDC is seeking qualified and motivated professionals to join its team on an open contract basis.

?? Position Title: Procurement Officer – Project Site

Total Positions: 03

Locations:

01 position at Khewra

01 position at Warcha

01 position at Quetta Office

Age Limit: Maximum 35 years as of the application closing date

Salary: Market-based and negotiable, based on qualifications and experience

? Qualifications & Experience

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, or a related field from an HEC-recognized institution

Experience:

Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in procurement activities, preferably within the mining, industrial, or large-scale project environments

?? Key Responsibilities

The Procurement Officer will support site-specific procurement operations and ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate procurement standards.

Support the Procurement Lead in implementing procurement policies and procedures tailored to project site requirements.

Facilitate procurement processes in compliance with PPRA rules and PMDC corporate guidelines.

Identify and engage suppliers to obtain quotations, negotiate contracts, and develop long-term relationships.

Conduct supplier evaluations based on delivery performance, pricing, quality, and adherence to safety standards.

Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Maintenance, and Administration departments to assess procurement needs.

Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.

Monitor delivery schedules and ensure suppliers meet timelines for goods/services.

Conduct market research to identify suppliers, benchmark pricing, and assess quality options.

Analyze procurement-related costs, including materials, logistics, and storage.

Create comparative analyses of vendor proposals to assist in selection and negotiation.

Maintain detailed and updated procurement records, including contracts and vendor profiles.

Assist with internal and external audits related to procurement compliance.
