VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation (PMDC)

The Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation (PMDC), a state-owned enterprise under the administrative control of the Ministry of Energy, Petroleum Division, Government of Pakistan, is responsible for the exploration, mining, and marketing of various minerals. PMDC invites applications for the following positions on an open contract basis.


1. Position: ERP Specialist

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree (16 years) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field from a Higher Education Commission (HEC) recognized university.

Experience:

  • 5–8 years post-qualification experience in ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP B1, or Microsoft Dynamics.

  • Knowledge of finance processes in ERP implementation is preferred.

Age Limit: 35 years

Key Job Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the end-to-end implementation of the ERP system at PMDC.

  2. Collaborate with project site staff and Finance department stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements.

  3. Ensure ERP utilization aligns with specific business needs and processes.

  4. Work with technical teams and external consultants to address challenges specific to the mining sector.

  5. Facilitate ongoing communication with internal teams and external vendors to proactively address adoption issues.

  6. Implement testing protocols to validate ERP functionality and performance.

  7. Provide ongoing system maintenance and support post-implementation.

  8. Develop training materials and SOPs for ERP users.

  9. Conduct workshops and hands-on training sessions for staff.

  10. Act as a change champion to promote ERP adoption across all projects and departments.

  11. Validate and reconcile financial data on ERP.

  12. Perform any other tasks assigned by management.


2. Position: IT Administrator / Supervisor – Project Site

Location:

  • KhewraWarcha, and Quetta Office

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree (16 years) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or BBA (IT) from an HEC recognized university.

Experience:

  • 2–5 years post-qualification experience in Networking, System Administration, Database Management, and ERP.

Age Limit: 30 years

Key Job Responsibilities:

  1. Serve as the first point of contact for IT-related issues at the assigned site.

  2. Provide technical support to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network-related problems.

  3. Assist in ERP implementation and support site staff with system adoption.

  4. Maintain site infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, servers, and communication systems.

  5. Perform routine system maintenance, software updates, backups, and antivirus protection.

  6. Deploy new hardware/software and ensure compliance with PMDC standards.

  7. Maintain an inventory of IT assets and support cross-site initiatives.

  8. Perform any other tasks assigned by management.
