Vacancy Announcement

Ayub Medical Teaching Institution (ATH/AMC/ACD), Abbottabad is a Tertiary Care 1500-bed Hospital under the MTI Act, 2015 (as amended from time to time). The institution requires the services of qualified professionals for the position of Medical Director. The position is contract-based and will remain valid for the duration of the contract or until the completion of the project, whichever is earlier.

Qualification, Experience, Skills & Main Responsibilities:

Qualification:

  • MBBS or equivalent qualification recognized by PM&DC.
  • Higher Diploma such as FCPS, FRCP, FRCS, or a US Board Certification (or equivalent qualification) in any clinical medical science recognized by PM&DC.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of management or administrative experience in managerial positions, such as Head of Unit in a major hospital clinical unit.
  • The candidate must have a proven record of excellence in clinical care and leadership in any clinical discipline (e.g., medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics/gynaecology, radiology, pathology).

Skills:

  • Excellent soft skills, including communication, ability to work under stress, team development, and timely compliance with tasks assigned by the Board of Governors (BOG).
  • Clinical and time management skills.
  • Proven leadership and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage a substantial employee base compatible with the institution's needs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all clinical functions of the hospital.
  • Ensure clinical excellence in all aspects of hospital operations.
  • Ensure timely and appropriate management of patients.
  • Guarantee best outcomes for all patients.
  • Implement clinical governance for quality control.
  • Ensure the implementation of institutional-based private practice (IBP).
  • Assess, audit, and develop new clinical programs.
  • Develop an annual clinical budget, including requests for capital medical equipment, and present it to the Hospital DirectorHospital Management Committee, and the Board of Governors.
  • Report directly to the Board of Governors of MTI-ATH/AMC/ACD.

Terms & Conditions:

  1. Application Deadline:
    The deadline for submitting applications is 5:00 PM, May 04, 2028 or until the vacancy is filled, as decided by the Board of Governors.
  2. Verification of Documents:
    All educational documents and experience certificates will be verified during the shortlisting process. Any false or unverified documents will lead to immediate disqualification, and legal action may be taken.
  3. Contract Duration:
    The Medical Director position is a 5-year contract with the possibility of 2 extensions of 5 years each, at the discretion of the Board.
  4. Conflict of Interest:
    The Medical Director must have no conflict of interest and will be required to practice only at the hospital. No outside consulting practice is allowed.
  5. NOC Requirement:
    Candidates working in Government, Semi-Government, or Autonomous organizations must apply through the proper channel and provide an NOC. If selected, they must resign from their current position.
  6. Salary & Benefits:
    The selected candidate will receive an attractive salary package based on qualifications and experience.
