Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation (PMDC)
A state-owned enterprise under the administrative control of the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), Government of Pakistan, PMDC is engaged in the exploration, mining, and marketing of various minerals across Pakistan.

Position Title: Manager (Taxation)

Qualifications Required:

  • MBA

  • CA (Chartered Accountant)

  • CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst)

  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant)

  • ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants)

  • CMA (Certified Management Accountant)

Experience:

  • 8 to 12 years of experience in Corporate Business Taxation

Maximum Age Limit:

  • 40 years

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement short-term and long-term taxation strategies to support sound decision-making.

  • Negotiate and manage financing agreements ensuring favorable terms for PMDC.

  • Ensure full compliance with income tax, group sales tax, and customs regulations, including timely filing of returns and addressing all tax-related issues and notices.

  • Lead tax compliance and advisory functions in coordination with Tax Forum Specialists, including managing audits, appeals, and reporting, ensuring PMDC's protection against legal risks and penalties.

  • Act as a liaison with regulatory bodies, such as the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and customs authorities, for timely and effective handling of queries or investigations.

  • Support the CFO and senior leadership by providing strategic insights into PMDC's tax-related matters to inform key financial decisions.
