Our client is a leading transmission company seeking to appoint experienced professionals for the role of Manager (Energy Contract).
The Manager (Energy Contract) will be responsible for vetting draft agreements and assisting in negotiable aspects of contracts related to energy transmission and allied matters. The role also involves providing legal opinions on related contractual affairs.
Assist the Chief Law Officer (CLO) in managing contracts and agreements related to energy transmission from a legal perspective.
Provide assistance in negotiating, drafting, and vetting various agreements, deeds, and legal instruments.
Support negotiation and review of agreements with independent power producers and generation companies, including Tripartite PPAs (TPPAs), Security Documents, and Direct Agreements to PPAs.
Liaise with external legal counsel engaged for contract review.
Manage the quality and compliance of all contracts-related services and deliverables to ensure strategic alignment with company policies.
Supervise and provide direction to subordinate staff, including performance management and delegation of tasks.
Define performance standards to meet KPIs assigned by the CLO.
Identify and communicate technology needs of the Contracts section to the CLO and relevant departments.
Facilitate professional development and conduct periodic performance appraisals of team members.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the CLO.
Bachelor’s degree in Law with at least 8 years of post-qualification experience, including:
A minimum of 3 years of law practice.
At least 3 years of experience dealing with corporate and regulatory affairs, gained either through law firms or in-house legal roles within corporate organizations.
A Master’s degree in Law or qualification as a Barrister at Law is an advantage.
Computer literacy is mandatory.
Knowledge of laws related to the electricity sector will be considered an additional advantage.
Maximum age limit: 40 years as of the closing date of the application.
Positions are offered on a lump sum pay-package basis, with market-competitive remuneration based on qualifications and experience.
Selected candidates may be posted anywhere in Pakistan, depending on company requirements.
