Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO)

Company Overview

Our client is an independent public-sector entity operating within Pakistan’s power sector. The organization is mandated to ensure transparent, efficient, and reliable market and system operations.

In line with its strategic transformation and operational requirements, the organization seeks to appoint a highly experienced and dynamic professional for the position of Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO).


Position: Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO)

The CHRO will serve as a strategic leader responsible for designing and executing a comprehensive human resource strategy aligned with the organization’s vision, governance framework, and long-term objectives. The role requires executive-level leadership, institutional development expertise, and strong stakeholder engagement capabilities.


Qualification Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in:

    • Human Resource Management

    • Business Administration

    • Public Administration

    • Social Sciences

    (From a reputable institution recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.)

  • Preferably:

    • Advanced degree in a relevant field

    • International qualification or international work experience

    • Membership in recognized professional HR bodies


Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 20 years of relevant post-qualification experience

  • At least 3 years in a senior executive leadership role, reporting directly to the Head of HR or Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of a large public or private sector organization


Competency Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution abilities

  • Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities

  • Proven track record of achieving management objectives

  • Experience in maintaining effective liaison with diverse stakeholders

  • Compliance with the Fit and Proper Criteria as prescribed under Schedule IV of the State-Owned Enterprises (Governance and Operations) Act, 2023


Term & Compensation

Contract Tenure

  • Initial appointment for three (3) years

  • Renewable based on performance in accordance with the provisions of the State-Owned Enterprises (Governance and Operations) Act, 2023

Compensation Package

  • Competitive and commensurate with experience

  • Performance-based incentives

  • Health coverage and additional benefits as determined by the Board
