JOB OPPORTUNITY: LEGAL ADVISOR

Organization: Water & Power Development Authority (WAPDA)
Project: Mohmand Dam Hydropower Project (MDHP), Mohmand, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP)
Section: Land Acquisition & Rehabilitation (LA&R)

Position Details

  • Position Title: Legal Advisor (LA&R Section) MDHP

  • Number of Posts: 01

  • Job Location: Mohmand Dam Hydropower Project, Mohmand, KP

  • Maximum Age: 50 Years

  • Tenure: Contract basis for 1 year, with 6 months probation. Extendable based on performance and project requirements.

  • Pay Package: Lump sum Rs. 300,000/- per month

Eligibility Criteria

Qualification:

  • LLB from a recognized university (HEC verified)

Experience:

  • Minimum 15 years post-qualification experience in land acquisition and court cases of government projects

  • Preferable experience in handling matters of Tribal Areas

  • Knowledge of land leasing procedures and Land Acquisition Act

  • Proficiency in Pushto language is an advantage

Mandate / Charter of Duties

  • Coordinate with Land Acquisition Collector (LAC) for timely land acquisition

  • Handle land acquisition and compensation issues/cases

  • Represent WAPDA/Project authorities in courts and legal forums

  • Prepare section-4 papers and provide legal recommendations

  • Advise Project authority on legal issues as required

  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the Project authority
