Decade of Dams

The Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) invites applications from suitable and eligible candidates for recruitment in the Office of the Chief Engineer (Power), Mangla.

The appointments will be made on a regular basis for the following positions.

Eligibility

  • Only local domiciled candidates according to the specified quota are eligible to apply.

  • Only eligible and shortlisted candidates will be called for interviews.

Age Relaxation Policy

  • General age relaxation of 5 years is already included in the age limit.

  • Additional 3 years relaxation is allowed for candidates belonging to:

    • Minorities

    • Recognized Tribes of Tribal Areas

    • Gilgit-Baltistan

    • Azad Kashmir

  • Additional 3 years relaxation is also available for candidates from:

    • Sindh (Rural)

    • Balochistan

? Age relaxation will be allowed in only one category.

Relaxation for Government and WAPDA Employees

  • Upper age limit may be relaxed up to 10 years for Government/WAPDA employees who have completed 2 years of continuous regular service before the closing date.

  • WAPDA employees working on:

    • Daily wages

    • Contingent basis

    • Budget estimates

may receive special age relaxation equal to their years of service in WAPDA.

Example:
If eligibility age is 30 years and a candidate has 5 years service in WAPDA, the new eligibility age becomes 35 years.

Additional Important Instructions

  • Candidates already working in WAPDA must apply through proper channel and obtain NOC from WAPDA HR Division before the closing date.

  • Age will be calculated on the closing date of application submission.

  • Candidates must present original documents at the time of interview.

Appointment Terms

  • Initial appointment will be on probation for 1 year.

  • Regularization will depend on satisfactory performance.

  • Services may be terminated without notice during the probation period if performance or conduct is unsatisfactory.

Important Notes

  • Applications containing incomplete or incorrect information will be rejected.

  • Applications received after the due date will not be accepted.

  • If any information is found fake or bogus, the candidate may be terminated even after recruitment.

  • WAPDA reserves the right to cancel or withhold the recruitment process at any stage without assigning any reason.

  • The number of posts may increase or decrease based on departmental requirements.
