The Ministry of Religious Affairs & Interfaith Harmony invites applications from regular Government Officers/Officials (BPS-11 to BPS-18) for selection as part of Pakistan’s Welfare Staff Contingent for Hajj–2026. Selected candidates will serve as Khuddam-ul-Hujjaj / Nazims, performing official duties related to the welfare and facilitation of Pakistani pilgrims in Makkah and Madinah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including accommodation, transport, food arrangements, and other support tasks.
Recruitment will be conducted through the National Testing Service (NTS). Selections for various categories will be made according to the provincial and regional quota distribution formula practiced by the FPSC. Eligible applicants must fulfill all required conditions regarding qualification, age, experience, and domicile.

Candidates will be evaluated through NTS written test followed by a physical/endurance test based on regional quota and merit.
Physical test will include 5 km jogging/brisk walk within a specified time (details to be announced on the NTS website).
Written test syllabus will be available on www.nts.org.pk.
Minimum 40% marks in the written test are required to qualify for the physical test.
Information submitted in the online/printed NTS form will be treated as final. No corrections will be accepted later.
Eligibility, category, and benefits will be determined strictly according to the candidate’s substantive pay scale.
Applicants should apply in the correct category based on their current pay scale.
A Departmental NOC must be obtained in advance and submitted as per the schedule communicated by NTS. Failure to provide the NOC will result in disqualification.
In each category, up to 70% Repeaters and 30% Fresh candidates will be selected.
Due to the sensitive nature of duties:
10% seats in supervisory positions and
30% seats in field/support staff
are reserved for uniformed personnel (Police, ANF, ASF, Rescue 1122, etc.).
Due to the demanding nature of Hajj duties, disabled/handicapped employees are not eligible.
Employees with heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, chronic illnesses, or any mental/physical disability are not eligible.
Candidates must provide a medical fitness certificate from their respective DHQ hospital.
The Ministry’s medical team may verify or re-assess the medical fitness certificate.
Original documents of shortlisted candidates will be verified at any stage.
Any false or misleading information will result in cancellation of selection and may lead to disciplinary action.
M/o RA & IH reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of positions as per Hajj quota or Saudi guidelines (Taleemat).
The Ministry may cancel or halt the recruitment process at any stage without providing reasons.
No TA/DA will be provided for tests or training.

Repeaters may apply regardless of the number of past Hajj duties, subject to the final decision of Intra Court Appeal No. 72/2025 pending at Islamabad High Court regarding limits on Hajj duties.
