The Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) is a statutory body under the administrative control of the Ministry of Religious Affairs & Interfaith Harmony. It operates under the ETPB Act, 1975, which governs the management and disposal of evacuee trust properties associated with charitable, religious, or educational trusts or institutions. The properties under ETPB are collectively referred to as the 'Trust Pool'.
The Board is supervised and controlled by a Chairman, appointed by the Federal Government, who functions as the administrative and executive head.
In accordance with the government’s reform agenda to revamp public sector entities, the Ministry seeks to appoint a Chairman for ETPB on a contract basis. Applications are invited from qualified professionals meeting the following criteria:
Act as the Head of the Board, overseeing administrative, financial, legal, and technical functions as outlined in the ETPB Act, 1975 and relevant Schemes.
Assist the Federal Government in planning, execution, operation, and maintenance of ETPB lands, properties, Mandirs, and Gurdwaras.
Liaise with national agencies, departments, regulatory bodies, and judicial authorities to ensure effective coordination.
Develop strategic business plans, rationalize organizational structures, and streamline procedures for efficient execution of ETPB projects.
Exercise quasi-judicial powers by holding court under Sections 8, 10, 16, 18, 21, and 25 of the ETPB Act for validation of evacuee trust property.
Represent and defend the Board in legal matters to safeguard ETPB’s interests.
Educational Requirement:
Master’s degree or equivalent (16 years of education) in Business Administration, Law, Public Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or Social Sciences from an HEC-recognized institution.
Professional Experience:
Minimum of 20 years of experience in large-scale public or corporate sector organizations.
At least 3 years of experience at a senior management level (e.g., MD/CEO/Chairman).
For government employees, only those in BS-20 or above in equivalent positions will be considered.
Preferred Background:
Candidates with relevant experience related to ETPB’s functions will be given preference.
Must be a citizen of Pakistan.
Must not be a defaulter, insolvent, or convicted for any offense involving moral turpitude.
Must have a reputable, financially sound, and morally upright background.
Tenure: Initial appointment for 3 years, extendable by 2 years based on Performance Evaluation Committee recommendations.
Pay & Allowances: Equivalent to BS-21 on contract or minimum of MP-I Scale, subject to Federal Government approval.
Age Limit: Between 42 to 62 years on the closing date of the advertisement.
