Description:

The National Academy of Performing Arts (NAPA) invites applications for the position of Head of Theatre Arts. This leadership role requires a passionate and visionary individual committed to elevating the Theatre Arts department’s standing in both academic and creative domains. The department is well-regarded for its excellence, and NAPA is now entering an exciting phase of growth and enhancement. The Head of Theatre Arts will play a pivotal role in steering the department toward further development and innovation.

Responsibilities and Role Details:

Provide exemplary leadership and oversight of the Theatre Arts department.

Foster an environment of creative and academic excellence.

Ensure smooth operations and encourage progressive growth within the department.

Inspire and mentor both faculty and students, creating a reflective and high-achieving academic atmosphere.

Promote diversity and inclusivity within the department.

Manage departmental resources and support the development of curriculum and programs.

Act as a dedicated advocate for Theatre Arts, effectively communicating the value of the discipline and motivating young talents.

Candidate Profile:

Advanced degree in Theatre Arts, Drama, or a closely related field from a reputable, internationally recognized performing arts institution.

Exceptionally experienced theatre/drama practitioners of senior or eminent status may be considered without formal academic qualifications.

Proven teaching expertise and leadership capabilities.

Strong commitment to diversity, inclusion, and educational excellence.

Ability to inspire, guide, and manage faculty and students effectively.

Visionary with passion and energy to propel the department forward.
