Position: Head of Internal Audit

Client: Public Listed Power Generation Company

Our client, a leading public listed power generation company, is seeking a top-class Audit Professional to join its core management team. This role is critical to support strategic initiatives, strengthen governance, and address evolving business challenges.

The Head of Internal Audit will functionally report to the Audit Committee and administratively report to the MD/CEO, leading the internal audit function to ensure alignment with corporate objectives and professional standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive risk-based audit strategy aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements

  • Establish audit charters, manuals, procedures, and KPIs for the internal audit function

  • Advise senior leadership and the Audit Committee on emerging risks, audit findings, and control enhancements

  • Design and implement an Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework, integrating it with business planning and strategy

  • Ensure compliance with policies, applicable laws, regulations, and corporate governance standards

  • Review system procedures to identify control features and ensure compliance with the Code of Corporate Governance

  • Act as a liaison with regulatory bodies, external auditors, and other stakeholders

Eligibility Criteria

  • Professional qualifications: CA, ACCA, CIA, or equivalent from a recognized body

  • Minimum 15 years of post-qualification experience, including:

    • At least 5 years in senior audit or risk management roles

    • Experience within a publicly listed or regulated entity

    • Preferably in the energy or infrastructure sector
