Managing Director & CEO

About the Client:

Our client is a reputed oil & gas mid-stream corporation, listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange, operating a well-established refinery. They are seeking a seasoned and strategic leader to drive their growth and strengthen their position within Pakistan’s refining sector.

Position Objective:

To provide visionary leadership as the Managing Director & CEO by steering strategic growth, operational excellence, and driving refinery upgrade and expansion projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Board to shape the company’s long-term vision and develop & execute business strategies.

Lead and oversee refinery operations, including upgrade and expansion projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

Optimize refinery performance, ensure product quality, control costs, and foster continuous improvement.

Ensure timely completion of expansion and upgrade projects.

Utilize strong market insight and investment acumen to drive growth and profitability.

Lead and motivate high-performing teams to achieve operational excellence.

Understand global oil & gas supply dynamics and their impact on input pricing.

Manage P&L and operational responsibilities effectively at a senior level (Business Unit Head / COO / CEO).

Navigate regulatory, commercial, political, and HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) requirements applicable to the company.

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum Graduate degree, preferably in technical subjects related to the industry or Business Management/Finance.

At least 20 years of combined technical and business management experience.

Minimum 10 years at a senior leadership level just below CEO.

Experience in managing large-scale projects, including investment decisions and implementation.

Experience outside the oil & gas sector may be considered if leadership competencies are strong.

Maximum age limit: 60 years (relaxable for exceptional candidates).

Contract and Compensation:

Three (3) year extendable contract, as per statutory requirements.

Comprehensive compensation and benefits package aligned with market standards.
