Our client, a prominent player in the Oil & Gas sector, is seeking to hire a highly qualified and experienced professional for the position of:
This senior leadership role demands a dynamic individual capable of overseeing and directing all marketing and commercial operations of the company. The selected candidate will be responsible for aligning commercial strategies with operational goals, contributing to both short-term performance and long-term strategic growth.
Market Analysis & Strategic Insight:
Continuously monitor demand and supply trends in the industry to identify new business opportunities.
Provide critical market forecasts to senior management, including insights on crude oil prices, product demand, and stock positions at the industry level.
Operational Planning & Optimization:
Contribute to the optimization of the pipeline network and refinery throughput in line with sales forecasts and cash flow requirements.
Ensure strategic product positioning to optimize sales, profitability, and inventory management.
Crude Procurement & Supply Chain Management:
Lead crude oil procurement operations, including inventory optimization and contract management for supply, shipment, survey, and transportation.
Coordinate with other refineries for joint crude cargo sharing based on mutual operational needs.
Stakeholder Engagement & Agreements Management:
Manage agreements with Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) related to throughput and pipeline systems.
Oversee sales and purchase agreements, including fuel sales to OMCs and LPG sales to LPG marketing companies.
Sales & Product Marketing:
Supervise Sulphur sales to industrial and chemical sectors.
Implement direct selling strategies for refinery fuels and lubricants targeting agents, Independent Power Producers (IPPs), and industrial clients.
Manage bitumen sales to large organizations and contractors.
Lead the pricing process for fuels, lubricants, and bitumen.
Explore and develop export opportunities for products that have limited local demand.
Regulatory Representation & Compliance:
Represent the company at various industry and regulatory forums including:
OCAC (Oil Companies Advisory Council)
MP&NR (Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Resources)
OGRA (Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority)
Report any environmental or safety hazards to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.
Strategic Modeling & Decision Support:
Utilize LP (Linear Programming) modeling tools to aid strategic decision-making.
Support crude selection, product blending, and margin maximization through scenario analysis.
Integrate LP model outputs into inventory planning, sales strategy, and market expansion efforts.
Educational Background:
MBA in Marketing (mandatory)
Professional Experience:
Minimum 20 years of experience in the petroleum or allied industries.
At least 5–7 years in commercial or marketing roles.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in corporate or strategic planning functions.
Skills & Competencies:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Strong leadership and team management abilities
Experience in regulatory and stakeholder management
Proven strategic and commercial acumen
Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities
