Job Opportunity: Executive Director

Position: Executive Director
Location: Pakistan Institute of Management (PIM), Karachi

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

Implementation of policy decisions.

Preparation of strategic plans with defined timelines.

Academic Oversight:

Promotion of academic excellence.

Encouragement of research and development activities.

Administrative Management:

Supervision of faculty and other human resources.

Day-to-day operations of the institution.

Financial Oversight:

Preparation and management of budgets.

Efficient allocation of resources to ensure financial sustainability.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Build relationships with key stakeholders, including industry partners, academics, and government bodies.

Student Success:

Establish a conducive learning environment.

Address student concerns, promote retention, and support their overall development.

Reporting Line:

Reports directly to the Ministry of Industries & Production and the Board of Governors, PIM.

Required Qualification and Experience:

Education:
Ph.D. or M.Phil. in Education, Management, Economics, or Business Administration from an HEC-recognized institution/university.

Experience:

25+ years of experience in the education or management field, with at least 10 years in a leadership role (Dean, Director, or Head of Department in an educational institute, or top-level managerial position in a reputed organization, public or private sector).

Research & Teaching:

Strong academic record with publications in reputed journals.

Demonstrated teaching experience, including curriculum design.

Administrative Oversight:

Experience in managing programs, budgets, human resources, and academic operations.

Age Limit:
Applicants should be between 50-65 years as of the closing date.

Terms & Conditions:

Contract Duration: Initial contract for two (2) years, extendable for another two (2) years based on performance and approval from the Board of Governors.

Notice Period:
Either party may terminate the contract with one (1) month’s prior notice or one (1) month’s salary in lieu thereof.

Emoluments & Benefits:
A market-competitive salary package will be offered, based on qualifications and experience.
