CAREER OPPORTUNITY

Director General (Housing) / Project Director – WAPDA Housing Scheme

Pakistan WAPDA Foundation (PWF) invites applications from dynamic, experienced, and result-oriented professionals for the position of Director General (Housing) / Project Director – WAPDA Housing Scheme.

The Foundation seeks an individual with the capacity and vision to successfully launch and manage a Housing Scheme for WAPDA employees.

Tenure of Appointment

  • The appointment will be on a contract basis initially for one (01) year.

  • Extendable subject to satisfactory performance.

  • Maximum tenure: 03 years or up to the age of 65 years, whichever occurs earlier.

Pay Package

  • Lump-sum salary (negotiable based on experience)

  • Perquisites and benefits as per the policy of Pakistan WAPDA Foundation (PWF)

Qualification

  • B.Sc. in Civil Engineering or

  • M.Sc. (Civil Engineering or relevant field)

Age Limit / Eligibility

  • Maximum age: 62 years

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 03 years of experience in Government / Semi-Government Housing, Armed Forces Housing, DHA, or similar Housing Societies.

  • Proven experience in:

    • Planning and development of housing projects

    • Procurement of land and hiring of consultants

    • Overseeing project schedules and construction activities

    • Contract management including bidding, budgeting, forecasting, and land acquisition

    • Welfare-related housing initiatives

    • Prudent and effective decision-making

General Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of PPRA Rules

  • Result-oriented, highly organized, and self-motivated

  • Excellent analytical, writing, communication, technical, and interpersonal skills

  • Relevant experience aligned with job requirements

Area of Responsibility

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Evolving strategies and development plans for the Housing Society

  • Exercising administrative and financial powers as Project Director to implement decisions of the Board of Directors

  • Overseeing routine quality audits to ensure work is progressing according to approved specifications and initiating corrective actions when required

  • Developing policies and procedures, particularly related to Joint Ventures (JV) in housing projects

  • Achieving objectives set by the Board of Directors of PWF

  • Performing any other tasks assigned by the Board of Directors regarding the Housing Scheme
