1. Chief Legal Officer (CLO)

Position Overview

• Title: Chief Legal Officer (CLO)
• No. of Positions: 01
• Location: MEPCO Headquarters, Multan
• Contract Duration: 3 years (extendable once based on performance; maximum age limit 65 years)

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Education:
  • LLB (mandatory) from an HEC-recognized institution
  • LL.M or Barrister-at-Law (preferred)
• Professional Requirements:
  • Licensed Advocate of the High Court (mandatory)
  • Minimum 15 years of legal experience
  • At least 5 years in a leadership role (Head of Legal Affairs)
  • OR 15 years legal practice, including 10 years as High Court Advocate
• Core Experience Areas:
  • Corporate legal advisory
  • Contract management
  • Dispute resolution & litigation
  • Regulatory compliance
  • Advisory to CEO/Board

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong expertise in:
  • Corporate, commercial, labor, procurement laws
  • Power & energy sector regulations
• Sound knowledge of:
  • NEPRA, SECP, PPRA
  • SOE Act 2023 & Companies Act 2017
• Experience in:
  • Drafting agreements (PPAs, MoUs, EPC contracts)

Position Overview

• Title: Chief (IT & Systems)

• Reporting To: CEO / Board of Directors
• Contract Duration: 3 years (extendable once)

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Education:
  • 16 years degree (Master’s preferred) in:
    • IT / Computer Science / Software Engineering / Related field
• Experience:
  • Minimum 10 years relevant experience
  • At least 2 years in senior IT leadership role (CIO, CTO, DG IT)
  • Experience in:
    • Energy / utilities sector OR large organizations

• Expertise in:
  • ERP systems (SAP, Oracle)
