WAPDA invites applications from qualified and experienced professionals for the position of Advisor – Cultural Heritage Management Plan (CHMP) for the Diamer Bhasha Dam Project (DBDP), Chilas, as per the details given below:

Eligibility Criteria
Qualification
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an HEC-recognized university.
-
Preference will be given to candidates possessing relevant foreign qualifications.
Experience
-
Minimum 05 years of relevant experience in restoration and renovation of historical buildings/sites.
Age Limit
-
Maximum 62 years.
Tenure of Appointment
-
Appointment will be made on a contract basis for an initial period of one (01) year, extendable subject to:
-
Satisfactory performance of the individual; and
-
Organizational requirements.

Pay Package
-
Competitive, market-based lump-sum pay package, commensurate with the qualification and experience of the individual.
Mandate / Charter of Duties
The selected Advisor will be responsible for:
-
Assisting the Authority in the implementation of the Cultural Heritage Management Plan (CHMP).
-
Providing technical oversight for restoration and renovation works at Chilas Fort, including its adaptive reuse for establishment of a museum.
-
Coordinating with and sensitizing all contractors involved in dam activities within direct and indirect impact areas of rock carvings and heritage sites.
-
Coordinating with Federal and Provincial Government departments regarding CHMP implementation.
-
Monitoring and evaluating all activities related to Cultural Heritage Management.
-
Performing any other tasks assigned by the Authority.
