Karachi: State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has issued a regular coin of Rs. 10 on Monday through the exchange counters of all the field offices of SBP Banking Services Corporation.

According to the SBP press release, The Federal Government via notification allowed the SBP to issue Rs. 10 regular coin.

The coin of Rs 10 is yellow in colour and round with serrations on the corner and a diameter of 25.5 mm. It weighs is almost 5.50 grams, the press release added.

As per the details about the coin, the waxing crescent moon along with five pointed star facing North West in rising position is in the center on the front side of the coin.

Accompanied by the periphery on the top of the crescent, star is inscribed ‘Islami Jomhuriya Pakistan’ in Urdu script.

Underneath the crescent and at the top of two springs of wheat with arms curved upward there is the year of issuance of the coin.

A circle of small beads is all alongside the edge of the coin.

The back side of the coin is decorated along with the front side picture of Faisal Mosque with Doves flying over it.

The face value of the coin in numeral wording 10 in bold letters and Rupee in Urdu script is carved at lower side of the coin.
