With the commonality of smartphones we have seen people taking photos and selfies almost everywhere. This habit sometime crosses the limit. The government of Saudi Arabia has recently announced that taking photos and video at Haram Sharif in Makkah and Masjid Nabvi in Madinah.

It is relevant to mention that a few days back a Jew visitor to Saudi Arabia was spotted taking selfies within Masjid Nabvi.  The foreign ministry of KSA has already announced this change in policy for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims from around the world.

If any visitor to these holy sites is found violated these rules, the security guards will be allowed to confiscate the photos and the device.
