The Punjab Education Department has now formulated the standard operating procedures (SOPs) for reopening of educational institutes across the province to ensure the safety of students as well as faculty members.

As per the details of prepared SOPs for educational institutes, maximum 20 aspirants will be permitted to sit in one classroom while two students will share each desk. Though, the schools having the low capacity will be operated in two shifts i-e morning and evening.

Mandatory Arrangements of Sanitizers For Students

It would be mandatory for all the educational institutes to arrange the sanitizers for the aspirants from their own budget. On the other hand, the temperature of every student and faculty member would be checked while entering into the educational institute. 

Ban On All School Functions and Recess

According to the SOPS, there would be a complete ban on any sort of function, ceremony as well as break in the schools during the school hours.

Federal Education Minister Announced To Reopen Schools From September

Earlier on July 9th, the Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood made an important announcement regarding reopening of educational institutes across the province. According to statement given by the Minister, all the schools and colleges across Punjab will start again their academic activities from September 15th, 2020 by following the strict enforcement of SOPs.
