Prime Minister promises UET campus for Dir

DIR: Inayatullah Senior Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has said a campus of the UET University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar would be officially agree to or accept as satisfactory next year for Upper Dir district.

Addressing a competition ceremony of Naat Khwani, he said the put forward (a plan or suggestion) for consideration by others campus would be set up at a budget of Rs2 billion in the far-off area. Hailing from Barawal in Upper Dir, he said a degree college for girls in Barawal would also be set up to authorize girls of the remote area to get education.

The minister, who also holds the portfolio of local government, said the government had planned scores of progress projects for the uplift of Upper Dir. He said sports stadiums would be built in all tehsils of the region to provide recreational chances to the youth.

“There is already a big stadium in Dir town,” he said. He further the administration would install streetlights from the Degree College, Dir up to the office of deputy official along the three kilometer road that runs through Dir city. The minister said greenbelts would be settled on both sides of the road in Dir. He extra that funds had also been permitted for connection roads.
