Higher Education Commission of Pakistan has extended the last date for the submission of LAW Graduate Assessment Test (LAW-GAT) application forms. The candidates willing to appear in the test can now submit their application forms till July 10th, 2020. Earlier, the commission announced June 30th as the deadline for the submission of application forms.

All the law graduates wishes to register as an Advocate to practice law, are required to pass this Law graduate assessment test for being eligible to apply to a Pakistan Bar Council (PBC)

Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) has given this authority of conducting LAW GAT Test to the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. The overall test comprises of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

Eligibility Criteria:

The candidates who have cleared bachelor’s degree in Law from an HEC recognized institute are eligible to apply for the Law GAT Test.

50% marks will be required to clear the test. The applicants are provided with three chances to clear this test if they fail to clear the test in the first attempt. 

Law GAT Test Centres Details:

The test will be conducted in the below mentioned cities. Applicants can select any city mentioned below in the application forms. The test centre once selected will not be changed after registration.

Turbat

Multan 

Hyderabad

Muzaffarbad

The applicants can submit their application forms online available at the official website of Education Testing Council-HEC.
