Government universities start admissions in September and October and private universities take admission in January and February. To get admission in top ranked public sector universities, an entry test is mandatory. This entry test consists of 100 marks and students need to get at least 50% marks to apply in any public university. Some universities conduct their own admission test and some require an NTS test.
The merit of the BTech degree program is getting higher each year. It starts in public top ranked universities from 85% and ends at 78% round about. In private universities it starts from 80% and ends at 72%.
