Bachelors of Technology (BTech) Admission Process
Most of the BTech institutes in Pakistan offer admission into BTech courses based on the scores of entrance exam. The details of admission process is given below:
- Students need to qualify the entrance exam conducted through NTS or university level.
- Shortlisted students after the entrance exam may be required to attempt the group discussion or interview which is followed by a document verification of a student.
- After the document verification process students are finally offered admission into the desired university.
- For confirmation of admission in the university, students need to pay the required fees for the degree program before the mentioned deadline.
- Eligibility Criteria of BTech
To take admission in BTech degree programs in any university students must have to meet the following requirements.
- They should have a three year Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) with minimum 60% marks.
- Or they have FSc pre-engineering with minimum 50% marks.
- Applicants can take that major which they have studied in DAE.
- The students must have one of the following qualifications with at least 50% score or equivalent grades. Students must also get at least 45% marks or equivalent grades in physics and mathematics.
- Intermediate (Pre-Engineering) with Mathematics, chemistry and physics.
- Three year D.A.E CIVIL with minimum 50% marks.
- Intermediate (Pre-Medical) with additional Mathematics with minimum 50% marks in the subjects.
- Admission intakes and Entry Test of BTech
Government universities start admissions in September and October and private universities take admission in January and February. To get admission in top ranked public sector universities, an entry test is mandatory. This entry test consists of 100 marks and students need to get at least 50% marks to apply in any public university. Some universities conduct their own admission test and some require an NTS test.

BTech From Preston University
Preston University offers a BTech degree program. Students of the B-Tech (Hons) program must earn a total of 130 credits hours in all semesters comprising a Four Years degree program which also includes two semesters for industrial training.
Eligibility Criteria
Qualifications of any one of the following are eligible for admission in B-Tech (Hons) Program:
- Students must have diploma of Associate Engineering, DAE (three years) or equivalent.
