Yoga has been known as a great form of meditation and exercise for thousands of years but modern science is just beginning to understand all its health benefits. Today so many doctors have started using Yoga as a common prescription.

Many researchers believe that Yoga has benefits alongside traditional medical treatments. Studies have primarily relied on patient’s positive experiences. No one exactly knows why Yoga works. The practice is a combination of control breathing, meditation and holding postures.

One pose makes one feel ‘Lion’ and the other makes one feel ‘Warrior’. One uses this practice to help fight in one’s battles of life. Yoga is one of the few opportunities one has to feel strong and active. Just stretching and relaxing my body set forth on a transformative path that changed one’s behaviors even one’s life in ways far grander than one might ever imagine.

Without understanding the precise mechanism, doctors have observed that Yoga can specifically help children with attention disorders. The main thing we found is that the children tend to have more sense of calmness and increased focus after doing Yoga.

Children diagnosed with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) should start yoga practice which would help them slowly gain control over their mind by guiding it away from negative thoughts and behaviors and toward those that were in line with their highest ideals.

Doctors in the United States have reported by performing YOGA there are mental health improvements, as well as reduced symptoms of asthma. Regular yoga practice improves mood and anxiety more than some other exercises, such as walking.

Yoga gives us the ability to focus, calm and relax my mind. A focused and a clear mindset gives an edge in dealing with and placing problematic issues in perspective.

Yoga is used for treatment of cancer patients to decrease depression, insomnia, pain, and fatigue and increase anxiety control. Yoga has also been studied as a treatment for schizophrenia. Yoga is found to improve cognitive functions and reduce stress in schizophrenia. It has been reported significant relief from anxiety and stress in patients after Yoga practice.

Yoga releases anxiety skills and their average decrease in scales by 10 points which is of course a significant. Secondly Yoga has more benefits it can be a part of your daily activity, another good substitute of an exercise which does make your body tighter, lighter, and brighter. It raises serotonin levels, and other feel good chemicals and that will all show up in the glow of your skin. Studies have shown that people who practice yoga can actually slow down the aging of the heart, liver and kidneys.

In short, Yoga helps to release one’s pent-up energy on one hand and on the other one gains power from Yoga poses. Secondly it is not merely an exercise for relaxing your body, mind, and soul but it is also a medication curing a sickness or a symptom which arises from daily activities.
