Position Details

Job Title: Unit Head – ETL Development (AVP/VP)

  • Reporting To: Wing Head – BI Data Engineer

Educational / Professional Qualification

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an HEC-recognized local or international university/institution
  • Preferred qualifications include:
    • BS / Master’s in Computer Science
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Software Engineering
    • Computer Information Systems
    • Information Technology or related disciplines
  • Certifications in Data Engineering / ETL tools will be an added advantage

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 06 years of professional experience in:
    • FinTech
    • Service sector
    • Software houses
    • E-commerce
    • Insurance industry
    • Consultancy
    • Telecom sector
    • Capital markets
    • Financial institutions
  • Out of total experience, at least:
    • 03 years must be in ETL Development / Data Engineering / Database Administration or related fields

Technical Skills & Expertise

Candidates must demonstrate strong expertise in:

  • Designing and managing large-scale ETL pipelines using:
    • Informatica, Talend, SSIS, Azure Data Factory
    • Oracle, SQL Server, BigQuery
  • Building high-performance and scalable data pipelines for complex banking systems
  • Strong command over PL/SQL development in OLTP and OLAP environments
  • Expertise in:
    • SQL / NoSQL databases
    • Data management at scale
    • Real-time and batch data processing (transactional & customer data)

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and execution of ETL/ELT data engineering strategy
  • Develop and manage ETL pipelines using modern tools (Informatica, Talend, SSIS, BigQuery, etc.)
  • Oversee scalable data architectures using technologies such as:
    • Oracle, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka
  • Manage migration of legacy ETL systems to on-prem, cloud, or hybrid environments
  • Ensure PL/SQL optimization, performance tuning, and data availability
  • Establish and enforce data quality standards and validation frameworks
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to ETL teams
  • Collaborate with business, analytics, and engineering teams to deliver accurate and timely data solutions
  • Perform any additional tasks assigned by management

Employment Terms

  • Position will be offered on a 3-year contractual basis, renewable based on performance and management discretion
  • Selected candidates will receive a competitive compensation package and benefits as per Bank policy
