HIRING OF SCHOOL TEACHING INTERNS (STIs) FOR GOVT. SPECIAL EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS OF DISTRICT NAROWAL

In pursuance of Notification No. SO(Ext 13-25/07(3850) dated 25-03-2020, issued by the Government of the Punjab, Special Education Department, applications are invited from suitable candidates (Men, Women, and Transgender) domiciled in Punjab for the engagement of School Teaching Interns (STIs) for vacant posts in the following Govt. Special Education Institutions of District Narowal.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Academic Qualifications:

  1. SSET (HI Field):
    • MA / M.Ed. or BS (first division/grade-B) in Special Education with specialization in the field of Deaf or equivalent qualification from a university recognized by HEC.
  2. SSET (VI Field):
    • MA / BS (first division/grade-B) in Special Education with specialization in Visual Impairment or equivalent qualification.
    • Certificate of proficiency in Braille issued by the Directorate General of Special Education, Punjab.
  3. SSET (MC Field):
    • MA / BS (first division/grade-B) in Special Education with specialization in the field of Mentally Challenged or equivalent qualification.
  4. JSET (HI Field):
    • MA / BS (second division/grade-C) in Special Education with specialization in Deaf or equivalent qualification.

Experience:

  • Fresh aspiring candidates with relevant qualifications are encouraged to apply.
  • Preference may be given to candidates with teaching experience.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • Engagement Type: Temporary, Non-pensionable, School-specific, Non-transferable.
  • Duration: 09 months (excluding summer vacations) during the financial year 2025-26 & 2026-27 or until the regular incumbents join, whichever is earlier.
  • Honorarium:
    • BS-17: Rs. 45,000 per month.
    • BS-16: Rs. 40,000 per month.
  • No right to regular appointment shall be conferred.
  • Age Relaxation: No age relaxation under STI Policy.
  • Performance Monitoring: Strictly monitored by concerned authorities.
  • Termination: Engagement can be terminated with one month’s notice or salary in lieu of notice by either side.
