CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA), Government of Pakistan, invites applications from Pakistani Nationals possessing the required qualifications and experience to fill the following contract-based positions:

1. Senior Data Scientist (Networks) – BPS-19

Number of Posts: 01
Age Limit: 40 + 5 = 45 years (maximum)

Qualification (Describe):

  • Education:
    16 to 18 years of education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields from any HEC-recognized institution.

Experience (Detail):

  • Minimum 12 years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field.

  • Proven expertise in designing, implementing, and managing network architectures, including routing, switching, and network security.

  • Demonstrated experience in cloud integration, automation, and network performance optimization.

Quota Distribution:

  • Merit = 01

2. Junior Data Scientist (Data Engineer) – BPS-17

Number of Posts: 01
Age Limit: 30 + 5 = 35 years (maximum)

Qualification (Describe):

  • Education:
    16 years of education in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related disciplines from an HEC-approved institution.

Experience (Detail):

  • 0–2 years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field.

  • Hands-on experience in building predictive models, analyzing large datasets, and generating actionable insights.

  • Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs), chatbots, and other AI/ML-driven data tools.

  • Sindh (Urban) = 01

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

  1. The initial contract period is six (06) months, extendable based on satisfactory performance evaluation.

  2. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for a test/interview. Candidates must bring their original documents (CNIC, educational certificates, domicile, and experience certificates) at the time of the test/interview.

  3. No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in the test/interview.

  4. Candidates serving in public sector organizations must provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their parent department at the time of the interview.

  5. Candidates from the private sector must submit valid experience certificates at the time of the interview.

  6. The final appointment will be made subject to security clearance by relevant authorities.

HOW TO APPLY

  1. Eligible candidates must apply online through the National Job Portal (NJP) at www.njp.gov.pk.

  2. Candidates must bring their original documents and two sets of attested copies at the time of the test/interview.

  3. All information and attached documents will be verified upon offer of appointment. In case of any false or forged information, NACTA reserves the right to:

    • Cancel the candidature at any stage (even after employment).

    • Initiate legal action against the applicant.

  4. All candidates who meet the eligibility criteria may be provisionally allowed to appear in the test, subject to post-test scrutiny.
