SITUATION VACANT

The Directorate General of Archaeology, under the Tourism, Archaeology & Museums Department, Government of the Punjab, invites applications from suitable candidates domiciled in Punjab Province for appointment against the following positions under new ADP Projects.

Projects

  1. Preservation, Restoration, Improvement, Management and Upgradation of Rohtas Fort, District Jhelum

  2. Preservation, Restoration, Improvement, Management and Upgradation of Hiran Minar, District Sheikhupura

  3. Preservation, Restoration, Improvement, Management and Upgradation of Harappa, District Sahiwal

DETAIL OF POSITIONS

1. Project Director (PPS-10)

Salary: Rs. 600,000 (lump sum per month)
Project: Harappa (01 Position)
Age Limit: Up to 55 years

Qualification:

  • Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an HEC-recognized university.

  • Must be registered as a Professional Engineer with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).

Experience:

  • Minimum 15 years of professional experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 10 years with a Master’s Degree.

  • Demonstrated expertise in supervision of development projects, particularly in heritage management, conservation of historical monuments, and archaeological sites.

2. Project Engineer (PPS-08)

Salary: Rs. 300,000 (lump sum per month)
Projects:

  • Rohtas Fort (01 Position)

  • Hiran Minar (01 Position)
    Total Positions: 02
    Age Limit: Up to 45 years

Qualification:

  • Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an HEC-recognized university.

  • Must be registered as a Professional Engineer with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).

Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 5 years with a Master’s Degree.

  • Experience in supervision of development projects, particularly in heritage conservation, restoration, and archaeological site management.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. Application Submission:

  2. Nature of Appointment:

    • All appointments are project-based, temporary, non-transferable, and non-pensionable.

    • These positions are job-specific and do not confer any right to regularization.

  3. Salary & Benefits:

    • The salary is on a lump-sum basis (inclusive of all allowances).

    • An annual increment of 5% applies under the Project Pay Scale.

  4. For Government/Semi-Government Employees:

    • Candidates currently serving in public sector organizations must apply through the proper channel and provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of application.
