Organization: National Center for Nanoscience & Nanotechnology (NCNN)

Funding Source: PSDP-funded (Public Sector Development Programme)
Project Context: A flagship national research initiative established through the Higher Education Commission (HEC) & the Planning Commission, Government of Pakistan.

1. NCNN Secretariat Positions

These positions are based in the central administrative and management office of the NCNN.

 
Position Title No. of Positions Minimum Qualification Minimum Experience Preferred Skills / Notes
Program Manager (PPS-9) 01 Master’s degree in Science or Engineering disciplines 02 years in managing Science & Technology related projects OR Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering with 03 years of relevant experience.
Business Development Manager (PPS-8) 01 Management degree 02 years in business development related to Science & Technology Applicants with IT experience in addition to the minimum criteria may be given preference.
Accounts Officer (PPS-7) 01 Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration 01 year of relevant experience Mandatory Requirement: Working knowledge of SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for financial transaction processing and reporting.
Monitoring & Evaluation Officer (PPS-7) 01 Master’s degree in Science or Engineering disciplines 01 year of relevant experience OR Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering with 02 years of relevant experience.

2. Functional Nanomaterials Lab Positions

These positions are based within the research laboratory focusing on nanomaterials.

 
Position Title No. of Positions Minimum Qualification Minimum Experience Specific Field of Expertise / Notes
Research Assistant (PPS-6) 04 Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Nanoscience & Nanotechnology, or related disciplines 01 year of experience in the use of nanomaterials for:
• Electrocatalysis
• Energy conversion and storage
• Electrochemical sensing and biosensing
• Water treatment		 (This is a single position requirement with four openings.)
Electronic Technician (PPS-6) 01 Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering 01 year of experience in handling scientific equipment related to characterization of materials Focus on practical technical support for lab equipment.

3. Student Positions (Enrollment at LUMS Required)

These positions are strictly for students who are already enrolled at LUMS in the specified programs.

PhD Students 04 Must be already enrolled in a relevant PhD program at LUMS.
MS Students 04 Must be already enrolled in a relevant MS program at LUMS.
