REQUIRED QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

1. Professor (Medical Education) (BPS-20)

Required Basic Qualification:

• MBBS or equivalent medical/dental qualifications recognized/registered by the PM&DC.

Required Postgraduate (Additional) Qualification:

• Level II-b or Level II postgraduate degree or diploma in Medical Education, Health Professions Education or related field recognized by PM&DC.

Required Experience:

• At least Three (03) years as Associate Professor in the respective subject; OR

• Nine (09) years teaching experience as an Assistant Professor in the respective subject.

Required Research Publications:

• Six (06) research publications as Associate Professor required in relevant subject.

Age Limit: Up to 55 years

Remarks:

• A total of Fifteen (15) research publications in relevant subject, of which Six (06) should be during last three years.

• Level-II-b holders shall be eligible to become Professor.

2. Director Quality Enhancement Cell / IQAE (BPS-20)

Required Qualification:

• ME/MPhil or equivalent degree (18 years education) in Health/Medical Education, Life Sciences, Management Sciences duly recognized by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan with 12 years' experience in Administration/Management in an HEC recognized public sector university, degree awarding institute or a public sector organization in BPS-17 or equivalent and above.

OR

• Masters or equivalent degree (16 years education) in Health/Medical Education, Life Sciences, Management Sciences duly recognized by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan with 15 years' experience in Administration/Management in an HEC recognized public sector university/degree awarding institute or a public sector organization in BPS-17 or equivalent and above.

Age Limit: Up to 55 years

3. Assistant Registrar (BPS-18)

Required Qualification & Experience:

• MSC/MPA/MBA from HEC recognized University with 5 years administrative experience; OR

• MBBS with teaching/administrative experience.

4. Deputy Controller of Examinations (BPS-18)

Required Qualification & Experience:

• M.SC/MPA/MBA from HEC recognized University with 5 years administrative experience; OR

• MBBS with 5 years teaching/administrative experience.

5. Network Administrator (BPS-17)

Required Qualification & Experience:

• MS in Computer Sciences/BE in Engineering from HEC recognized University having 2–3 years experience of work Administration and Management.

6. Database Administrator (BPS-17)

Required Qualification & Experience:

• MS in Computer Sciences/BCS/BE in Engineering from HEC recognized University having 2–3 years experience of Database Administration.

Skills Required:

• Must possess good oral and written communication as well as good presentation skills.

• In-depth knowledge of the current encoding database, development tools, middleware tools, hardware platforms and operating systems.

• Well versed about multi-tier and client/server models of software systems and database technologies (e.g., Transactional, Relational, Object Oriented & Distributed Database) in general.

HOW TO APPLY

1. Applicants are required to apply online through the university job portal: http://portals.uhs.edu.pk/jobs

2. Applicants are also required to submit a signed hardcopy/printout of the same pre-filled online application form to the University of Health Sciences, Khayaban-e-Jamia Punjab, Lahore (Resource Department, Room # 12).

3. Fill the online application form carefully as no editing will be allowed after submission.

4. The applicants are required to print the system-generated fee challan and deposit the job application processing fee as mentioned on the challan through Link 21 at the job application processing branch of Bank of Punjab.

5. The applicants are required to attach and submit attested copies of:

   • CNIC

   • Domicile

   • All educational documents/certificates

   • Experience certificates

   • Any other relevant documents

6. Submit along with the deposited system-generated fee challan as per the following approved rates:

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

1. Appointments will be on contract basis as per UHS Service Statutes 2005.

2. Only Punjab domiciled candidates may apply.

3. Preference will be given to candidates having experience in a reputable Public Sector Medical University/Institution.

4. Experience, where prescribed, would include equivalent experience in a profession or in the service of an autonomous body, autonomous organization or well reputed private organization.

5. Only post-qualification experience shall be considered for eligibility.

6. Relaxation in upper age limit may be granted to suitable candidates as per statutes/rules of Government of Punjab.

7. The selected candidates may be posted at any University campus (City & Jinnah Campus KSK).

8. Incomplete applications or applications received after the due date will not be entertained.

9. University reserves the right to increase/decrease or totally withdraw the vacancies without assigning any reason.

10. University reserves the right to conduct any test/screening for the shortlisting of candidates.
