Situation Vacant

The University of Health Sciences (UHS), Lahore, a public sector institution, offers a professional and growth-oriented working environment. The University is an equal opportunity employer and invites applications from eligible candidates holding Punjab domicile for the following academic positions.

Available Positions

1. Professor (BPS-20)

Department: Science of Dental Materials
No. of Posts: 01

Eligibility Criteria:

  • BDS or equivalent qualification in Dentistry, recognized and registered by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council
  • Level-III postgraduate qualification such as PhD / FCPS / MDS (or equivalent)
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 3 years as Associate Professor, OR
    • 9 years teaching experience as Assistant Professor in the relevant field
  • Research Publications:
    • 15 total publications, including 6 in the last 3 years
    • At least 6 publications as Associate Professor
  • Additional Requirement:
    • Diploma/Certificate in Medical Education (minimum 6 months duration)

2. Associate Professor (BPS-19)

Departments:

  • Histopathology (01 Post)
  • Science of Dental Materials (01 Post)

Eligibility Criteria:

  • MBBS / BDS or equivalent qualification recognized by PMDC
  • Level-IIb or Level-III postgraduate qualification in relevant specialty
  • Experience:
    • 5 years teaching experience as Assistant Professor
  • Research Publications:
    • 9 total publications, including 7 as Assistant Professor
  • Medical Education Certification required (as per PMDC criteria)

3. Assistant Professor (BPS-18)

Departments:

  • Science of Dental Materials (01 Post)
  • Histopathology (01 Post)

Eligibility Criteria:

  • MBBS / BDS or equivalent qualification recognized by PMDC
  • Level-IIb or Level-III postgraduate qualification
  • Experience:
    • 2 years teaching experience as Demonstrator/Lecturer (before or after qualification)
  • Research Publications:
    • Minimum 2 research papers in the relevant field

Important Instructions

  • Only candidates with Punjab domicile are eligible
  • Applicants must provide PMDC Experience/Recognition Certificates
  • Foreign degree holders must submit equivalence from:
    • Higher Education Commission
    • PMDC
  • Maximum Age Limit: 55 years
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in public sector medical universities
  • Positions are on contract basis under UHS Service Statutes 2005
  • Selected candidates may be posted at:
    • City Campus or Jinnah Campus (KSK)
