MTI MARDAN – VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT (Detailed Format)

1. Organization

Medical Teaching Institution (MTI) Mardan
The Medical Teaching Institution, Mardan (MTI Mardan) invites job applications from qualified candidates for merit-based appointments against the following vacant position on contract basis (02 Years – Non-Extendable).

2. Position: Experiential Registrar

3. Qualification & Experience

• MBBS (PMDC-registered, valid registration) with FCPS Part-II qualified in the relevant specialty.

• Candidates who have completed training and have not passed FCPS are not eligible.

• FCPS must have been passed not more than Eighteen (18) months before the closing date of this advertisement, as the post exists to help young doctors acquire the experience required by PMDC for faculty positions.

4. Nature and Tenure of Post

• The post is limited to a maximum of two (02) years.

• It is non-extendable and does not carry any right of regularisation or appointment to a faculty post.

• Performance will be reviewed after one (01) year. If unsatisfactory, remedial action will be taken; where there is a major lack of progress, the incumbent may be removed from the post.

5. Selection Priority

• Preference will be given to non-civil servant doctors, including those who relinquish their civil service employment before applying.

• Newly FCPS-qualified civil servants may be offered only those posts that remain vacant after the above process, and only on the condition that their pay continues to be drawn from their civil service post with no salary liability on MTI Mardan. Such candidates are not required to relinquish their civil service appointment.

Note for Accident & Emergency: FCPS Cardiology, General Surgery, General Medicine, Orthopedic, Neurosurgery can also apply; however, preference will be given to those having FCPS in Emergency Medicine.

7. Eligibility

Candidates must meet the qualification and experience requirements stated above, including valid PMDC registration and FCPS Part-II in the relevant specialty, with FCPS passed within eighteen (18) months of the closing date.

8. Important Note

• Any attempt to approach or influence the selection committee will automatically disqualify the applicant.

• The decision of the selection committee will be final, subject to approval by the Board of Governors.

• Only shortlisted candidates will be called for Test/Interview.

• After a final decision, no correspondence regarding the process will be entertained.

9. Terms & Conditions

i. The service of the incumbent will be governed under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Medical Teaching Institution Act, 2015 (as amended) and the MTI Regulations.
ii. The service shall be governed by, and subject to, all applicable regulations, rules, policies, directives, and decisions issued or approved by the Policy Board from time to time.
iii. In case of appointment, the candidate can be deputed at any shift and shall have to submit accepted resignation from his existing employment with any other entity local or abroad, including, but not limited to, civil service of the Government.
iv. Candidate will be disqualified/terminated if found of any perjury in his/her documentation/credentials at any stage.
v. The institution reserves the right to increase/decrease or cancel the position.
vi. The quota of minority/disable will be treated as per Govt. policy.
vii. No TA/DA will be admissible for test/interview.
