Reporting To: Head, Shariah Compliance Department
Educational/Professional Qualification:
Minimum Graduation from an HEC-recognized local or international university/college/institute.
Preference for:
Master’s in Islamic Banking/Finance
ACCA/CA Part Qualified
Related certification/diploma or specialization in Islamic Finance or Jurisprudence (Figh Ul Muamilat)
Experience:
Minimum 2 years in a Financial Institution or Shariah Consultancy Firm
At least 1 year in:
Shariah Compliance
Product Development
Shariah Advisory
Shariah Audit
Skills / Expertise:
Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Shamila Shariah research software
Content writing
Understanding of Shariah law as applied to commerce and banking, including SBP regulations
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Evaluate proposals, contracts, agreements, manuals, process flows, checklists, and other submitted documents
Review Credit Approval Memorandums (CAMs) for final endorsement
Assist in analyzing process flows for products and services
Review product policies, operational manuals, and legal documentation
Participate in UATS
Review syndicate financing and conversion-related documents for Shariah compliance
Conduct customer visits with business team for process updates
Attend and conduct meetings with internal stakeholders and external parties
Perform any other assignments assigned by supervisor(s)

Assist in preparing agendas, proposals, and working papers for Shariah Board meetings
Ensure access to all Islamic Banking records for Shariah Board
Assist Head of Shariah Compliance Department in enforcing Shariah Board resolutions
Compile Shariah-related matters for Board of Directors and executive management
Maintain comprehensive MIS regarding Shariah Board meetings, resolutions, and implementation status
Send prior meeting notices to management and ensure completeness of information
Perform any other assignments assigned by supervisor(s)
Only shortlisted candidates meeting eligibility criteria will be invited for assessment test and/or panel interview(s).
No TA/DA will be provided for test/interview.
Employment will be contractual for three years, with renewal at the discretion of management.
