1. BACKGROUND & PURPOSE

Under the EPI-PEI Synergy initiative, and to enhance vaccination rates among eligible population groups and eradicate Polio, the Office of the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) Sindh is hiring contractual vacant positions for Union Council Immunization Officers (UC-IOS) (Male/Female).

3. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

A. Education (Minimum)

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in one of the following disciplines:

• Bachelor of Science in Public Health

• Bachelor of Science in Health Education

• Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion

• BS in Nutrition and Dietetics

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing

• Master's degree in Public Health (Preferable)

• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm-D)

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT)

• BS Molecular Biology / Molecular Medicine

• Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology / Biosciences

• Bachelor of Science in Microbiology

• Bachelor of Science in Psychology

• Bachelor of Science in Food Science & Technology

B. Preferable Qualification

• Master's degree in Public Health (MPH).

C. Experience

• Preferably 1–2 years of experience in community-based health initiatives, outreach activities, field surveys, or public health programs.

• Particular preference for experience in:

  • Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI)

  • Immunization campaigns such as Polio (OPV/IPV), Typhoid Conjugate Vaccine (TCV), Measles-Rubella (MR), and HPV.

• Acceptable experience includes: internships, contractual assignments, structured outreach activities, field surveys, or field attachments.

• Sufficient proof of experience is required.

D. Local Domicile Requirement

• Must possess a valid local domicile of the concerned Town/District.

• Demonstrated familiarity with local geography, population dynamics, and community structures.

E. Age Limit

• Maximum age: 28 years as of 20 November 2026.

• Age relaxation of 05 years as per Government Rule/Policy.

4. REQUIRED COMPETENCIES & SKILLS

• Strong understanding of routine immunization (EPI), polio eradication, and public health principles.

• Ability to assess field performance and provide constructive feedback.

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.

• Ability to analyze data and translate findings into action.

• Ability to work independently in complex urban environments.

• Basic computer and reporting skills.

• Proficiency in local languages and familiarity with Karachi and Hyderabad context preferred.

6. SALARY

• PKR 70,000 per month (basic salary)

• PKR 10,000 mobility allowance per month

• Total: PKR 80,000 per month
