EDUCATIONAL / PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION

 
Criteria Requirement
Minimum Qualification Graduation or equivalent from a local or international university/college/institute recognized by the HEC of Pakistan.
Preferred Qualification Candidates having a Master's degree and/or any other relevant professional qualification will be preferred.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

 
Experience Details
Total Experience Minimum 15 years of experience in Banking and/or Financial Institutions.
Senior Managerial Role At least 05 years of experience in a senior managerial role in:
• Recovery
• Risk Management
• Corporate Banking
• Commercial Banking

OTHER SKILLS / EXPERTISE / KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

 
Skill Area Requirements
Credit Risk Assessment Superior credit risk assessment skills & judgment, including problem recognition, defining and structuring of solutions to complex credit issues, and experience in remedial management situations.
Legal Knowledge Comprehensive knowledge of legal documentation associated with credit/market risk.
Bank Policies Fully conversant in the Bank's recovery policy and credit policy.
Leadership & Decision-Making Possess strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of financial and legal matters, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
Problem-Solving Ability to deal with ambiguity on credit/business issues in reaching decisions and develop solutions.
Decisiveness Ability to act decisively in time-sensitive situations.
Communication Ability to clearly and proactively communicate in verbal and written form to both internal and external clients.

OUTLINE OF MAIN DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

1 Strategic Planning To develop and implement strategic plans for asset recovery, outlining the goals, targets, and methodologies for maximizing the recovery of distressed or defaulted assets.
2 Team Management To oversee a team of professionals engaged in asset recovery, providing leadership, guidance, and support to ensure effective and efficient performance.
3 Risk Assessment To conduct thorough risk assessments of distressed assets and analyze potential financial, legal, and market risks associated with the recovery process.
4 Asset Evaluation To assess the value of distressed assets and formulate strategies to optimize their recovery potential, which may involve collaborating with appraisers, auditors, and other relevant professionals.
5 Legal Compliance To ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements during the asset recovery process, including adherence to relevant laws, policies, and procedures.
6 Negotiation and Settlement To negotiate with defaulting parties or stakeholders to reach settlements and agreements that maximize the recovery value of distressed assets.
7 Stakeholder Management To interact with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, legal counsel, regulatory authorities, and other relevant parties, to facilitate effective communication and coordination throughout the asset recovery process.
8 Documentation and Reporting To maintain accurate documentation of all asset recovery activities, prepare comprehensive reports on the progress and outcomes of asset recovery initiatives, and present them to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
9 Risk Mitigation Strategies To develop and implement strategies to mitigate potential risks associated with the recovery process, including financial, legal, and reputational risks.
10 Performance Monitoring To establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for tracking the progress of asset recovery initiatives, monitoring the performance of the asset recovery team, and making necessary adjustments to ensure the achievement of set goals.
11 Continuous Improvement To identify areas for improvement in the asset recovery process and implement necessary changes to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and overall performance.
12 Additional Tasks To carry out any other tasks assigned by the Group Head / Chief.

EMPLOYMENT TERMS

 
Aspect Details
Employment Type Contractual basis for three (03) years, which may be renewed at the discretion of the Management.
Compensation Selected candidates will be offered a compensation package and other benefits as per the Bank's policy/rules.
