Vacancy Announcement – Finance Director
The Medical Teaching Institution (MTI) Mardan invites applications from qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Finance Director. This is a senior leadership role requiring a highly competent professional who will report to the Hospital Director and functionally to the Board of Governors.

Position: Finance Director
Qualification & Experience
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
Option 1
- Chartered Accountant (CA)
- Member of ICAP
- Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience
Option 2
- ICMA (Cost & Management Accountant)
- Minimum 8 years post-qualification experience
Option 3
- Master’s Degree in Finance/Accounts
- Minimum 8 years post-qualification experience
- Preference: ACCA members
Experience Requirement
- Experience must be in finance/accounts within a major public or private organization
Role & Responsibilities
The Finance Director will be responsible for:
Financial Management
- Managing accounting and financial reporting functions
- Ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
- Maintaining compliance with financial regulations and standards
Systems & Controls
- Implementing financial systems and internal controls
- Designing improved financial control mechanisms across the organization
Planning & Strategy
- Leading budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Providing strategic financial advice to:
- Board of Governors
- Hospital Director
- Medical Director
- Dean
Reporting & Governance
- Quarterly financial reporting to:
- Board Audit Committee
- Board of Governors
- Ensuring transparency and accountability
Operations
- Managing cash flow and treasury operations
- Overseeing finance and accounts teams
- Coordinating with:
- Banks
- Government departments
- Internal & external auditors
Audit & Compliance
- Facilitating external audits
- Implementing audit recommendations
Required Skills

- High level of IT proficiency, especially:
- Leadership and team management
- Strategic planning and decision-making
- Problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical, reporting, and presentation abilities
