Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA)

“Decade of Dams” Initiative

Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) invites applications from dynamic, experienced, and self-motivated professionals for the following position on a contract basis.

The selected candidate will oversee, manage, and lead all medical, clinical, and administrative operations of WAPDA hospitals and dispensaries across Pakistan to ensure the provision of high-quality healthcare services.

Position Details

Minimum Qualification

  • MBBS or equivalent qualification recognized by the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council / Pakistan Medical Commission.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 20 years of service in Public, Private, or Military Hospitals/Institutions.

  • At least 05 years of Medical Administration experience.

  • Preference will be given to candidates having 03 years or more experience as MS/DMS in Public, Private, or Military Hospitals/Institutions.

Core Competencies Required

  • Proven ability to lead nationwide medical services and formulate long-term healthcare policies.

  • Strong command over hospital operations, clinical governance, and quality assurance standards.

  • Expertise in budgeting, procurement, and effective allocation of medical resources.

  • Sound knowledge of:

    • Pakistan Medical Commission regulations

    • Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) rules

    • Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) rules

    • Healthcare licensing requirements

  • Ability to monitor medical setups, performance management, and staff capacity building.

  • Capability to plan and respond to disease outbreaks, emergencies, and health risks.

  • Strong stakeholder coordination and relationship management skills.

Tenure of Appointment

  • Contract basis for 03 years, including 06 months probation.

  • Extendable annually based on satisfactory performance and organizational requirements.

Pay Package

  • Competitive, market-based lump-sum salary package, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
