WAPDA (Water and Power Development Authority) is inviting applications from qualified and experienced professionals for the position of Advisor (Water Supply, Irrigation & Drainage) Projects. This recruitment is part of WAPDA's "Decade of Dams" initiative.

Eligibility Criteria
Qualification
-
B.Sc. Civil Engineering from a PEC / HEC recognized University
Experience
-
At least 30 years of experience in Civil Engineering (Irrigation / Drainage Projects)
-
Along with specialized experience on Construction of Bulk Water Supply Projects including pressurized large diameter pipeline conveyance systems with Pumping Stations
Tenure
The appointment will be on a contract basis (Lumpsum pay package) initially for a period of 01 year, extendable on satisfactory performance of the individual / requirement of the Organization.
Pay Package
A competitive market-based lumpsum pay package commensurate with the qualification / experience of the individual.
Mandate / Charter of Duties
The selected candidate will provide advice to the Authority regarding the K-IV Project, Water Conduction to Islamabad, CRBC (LCG), and Drainage Projects of Lower Indus Basin, including but not limited to the following scope of activities:

Review overall project progress, implementation schedule, cost, and quality.

Review contract compliance, claims, variations, extensions of time, and other contractual matters.

Identify major project risks and recommend appropriate mitigation and control measures.

Provide advice on effective contract management and dispute avoidance / resolution.
-
Provide advice on critical project matters to safeguard WAPDA's interests.
-
Any other task assigned by the Authority.
General Conditions & Instructions

Shortlisting: Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview and no TA / DA will be admissible.

Educational Degrees: Must be from HEC recognized Universities. In case of foreign degree, it must be verified by HEC.

Original Documents: Must be presented by the candidates at the time of interview.

Ineligibility: Candidates who have been weeded out of service on disciplinary grounds as well as dismissed or debarred for future employment are not eligible to apply.

Regularization: The services on lumpsum pay package shall not be regularized at any stage.

Rejection: Applications carrying incomplete / incorrect information or received after last date of receipt shall be rejected. Any information / documents of candidate found bogus at any stage during induction or later in service shall result in termination.

Right to Cancel: WAPDA reserves the right to withhold / cancel the recruitment process at any stage without assigning any reason.
