VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT – URAAN PAKISTAN INITIATIVE

The National Disaster Risk Management Fund (NDRMF) invites applications from highly qualified and dynamic professionals for the following Islamabad-based position on a performance-based contract.

?? Position Details

?? 1. Deputy Manager – GIS Expert, NATCAT Data Centre

No. of Positions: 01

Maximum Age Limit: 57 years

Job Location: Islamabad

Contract Type: Performance-based

?? Qualification Requirements

Minimum Education:

At least 16 years of education in one of the following or related fields:

Geoinformatics

GIS & Remote Sensing

Data Science

?? Experience Requirements

Total Experience:

06 to 08 years of relevant professional experience

Specific Expertise:

At least 02 to 03 years in GIS-related work

Must have completed a minimum of three (03) landmark national or international projects of similar nature

Experience in:

Integrating heterogeneous datasets (vector and raster)

Using formats like shapefiles, GeoJSON, satellite imagery, and elevation models

Working with international data hubs and open-source repositories

Familiarity with:

Spatial DBMSs (e.g., PostGIS, Oracle Spatial)

Data interoperability and standards (e.g., OGC standards)

Data transformation, conversion, and harmonization techniques
