The Aga Khan University Hospital, Pakistan invites applications for its one-year Clinical Laboratory Technologist Training Programme in Karachi. The training comprises a hybrid mix of classroom lectures and hands-on bench training. Following completion of the first module in Karachi, selected candidates for Stat or regional labs will be deployed to the appropriate laboratories in one of the nine (9) locations: Karachi, Hyderabad, Faisalabad, Lahore, Multan, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Sukkur and Quetta. Required qualifications and credentials:
- The prospective candidate should have a BSc / BS / MSc in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT), or an equivalent qualification such as BS / MSc in Microbiology, Physiology, Biochemistry, Genetics, or a relevant degree in clinical diagnostics, with a minimum of First Division or CGPA of at least 2.5 or above, preferably acquired during the last two years.
- Shortlisted applicants will be required to submit a written assessment, followed by an interview. Assessments will be held in Karachi, Lahore, Chitral and Gilgit — Baltistan centres.
Compensation:
- A stipend will be paid during the training programme.
- On successful completion of the one-year programme, trainees will be eligible to apply for positions at any of our laboratories.
