Pakistan's IT and ITeS sector is experiencing phenomenal growth in export revenues and generating high paying employment opportunities for the talented youth of the country. Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), the Apex body of Ministry of IT and Telecommunication, is responsible for the development and capacity building of IT and IT-enabled Services (ITeS) sector in Pakistan, for ensuring accelerated exports growth, and brand building of Pakistan and its IT and ITeS industry globally.

PSEB requires services of a dynamic and high caliber senior management executive for the following C-Level post that is strictly performance based and target-achievement oriented, reporting to Managing Director, PSEB. Employment will be on contract basis, initially for a period of three years.

Work Location: Islamabad (frequent national & international travel required)

CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER (CMO)

QUALIFICATION:

Minimum sixteen (16) years of education from HEC recognized local or international University, ideally with a degree in marketing, international business, or strategic planning. MBA from HEC recognized top local universities or international universities is highly desirable.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum ten (10) years of demonstrable experience in marketing, strategic partnership development, brand development, and business development. Minimum two years of experience in a relevant leadership role is required. Relevant international experience and demonstrable expertise in developing B2B, G2B, and G2G international relations will be advantageous.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The role requires execution of directlindirect business development efforts for Pakistan IT and ITeS sector internationally.

• CMO to hold a key senior management role in PSEB, leading the global marketing and branding strategy development and implementation to project Pakistan as a preferred Tech Destination for IT & IT-enabled Services. CMO to lead development and implementation of business development strategy, having the key responsibility for attracting international clientele and investors for Pakistan's IT and ITeS sector, building new business channels on the basis of Geostrategic alignment of IT & ITeS exports, actively engaging Pakistani diaspora, forging relationships with potential buyers of technology products and services globally, and developing international partnerships at B2B, G2B and G2G levels. CMO will ensure continuous international presence, interaction, and engagements for Pakistan's IT & ITeS sector in relevant trade events, exhibitions, conferences, and organize inbound and outbound trade delegations, B2B/B2G meetings and roadshows.
• CMO will also be heading media, research and publications initiatives, generating national and international research studies, reports, whitepapers etc. encompassing both demand and supply side of IT & ITeS sector, leveraging social and traditional media, building relationships with international media agencies, consulting firms and global organizations to develop a strong brand and perception of Tech Destination Pakistan.
• CMO will work closely with the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, Pakistan Software Houses Association, and actively engage decision makers within the government and private sector, as well as relevant public and private entities abroad to create a collaborative environment and synergies for development of IT & ITeS sector and ensuring exponential growth of IT & ITeS exports.
