CAREER OPPORTUNITY: DIRECTOR TECHNICAL

PSEB, an autonomous apex body under the Ministry of IT & Telecommunication, is responsible for promoting Pakistan’s IT sector, driving export growth, and positioning the country’s technology industry on a global scale. PSEB seeks qualified professionals to join as Director Technical to lead and manage large-scale ICT initiatives.

Position Details

  • Position Title: Director Technical

  • Number of Posts: 01

  • Maximum Age: 50 years

Educational Qualification

  • Minimum 16 years of education in:

    • Computer Science

    • Information Technology

    • Network Engineering

    • Information Security

    • Telecommunications

    • Electronics

    • Other relevant ICT fields

  • Degree must be from a HEC-recognized national or international university

  • Candidates with strong technical experience in related academic backgrounds may also be considered

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 12 years post-qualification experience in:

    • Managing large-scale IT, telecom, or digital infrastructure operations

    • Exposure to network architecture, cloud environments, IP services, cybersecurity, or data center systems

  • At least 5 years in a leadership role involving:

    • Technical strategy

    • Infrastructure planning

    • Operations management

    • Policy engagement

    • Technology leadership within telecom operators, large enterprises, cloud providers, or public sector ICT organizations

  • Experience with government regulations, procurement procedures, PPRA requirements, and public sector digital initiatives will be an advantage

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage technical strategy and operations for PSEB initiatives

  • Oversee ICT infrastructure planning and implementation

  • Ensure compliance with government regulations and public sector guidelines

  • Drive innovation and technological growth in line with PSEB objectives

  • Liaise with stakeholders including government bodies, private sector, and international partners
