Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Location: Pakistan (Specific city not specified; refinery operations)
Core Role: Develop and execute strategies for financial planning, reporting, accounting, treasury, and taxation. Provide leadership to ensure financial process efficiency, effective internal controls, and robust business insights.
Contribute to corporate strategy by developing and proposing long-term financial plans, forecasts, and management strategies for Board approval.
Lead the annual budgeting process across the company; analyze risks/opportunities to budgetary projections and suggest corrective actions.
Conduct comprehensive due diligence on potential investment proposals to support strategic decision-making.
Ensure adequate liquidity and cash flows; meet short and long-term funding requirements through an optimized funding mix (banks, capital markets, etc.).
Optimize capital structure to enhance treasury operations efficiency and reduce capital costs.
Lead efforts to secure financial close for ongoing projects by engaging local and foreign debt/equity investors.
Ensure company accounts are compiled and delivered periodically in accordance with International Accounting/Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
Establish a KPI-based performance monitoring system with periodic reporting to track financial performance and strategic goals.
Articulate the corporate financial strategy and value story to analysts, credit agencies, investors, and customers.
Provide financial advice to the senior executive team regarding investments, expenditures, and commercial strategies.
Develop and engage the finance organization, identify future finance leaders, and foster a performance management culture.
Academic/Professional Qualifications: MBA or a Chartered Accountant (CA) from a recognized body of professional accountants.
Overall Experience: Minimum of 20 years of relevant experience in leading public listed companies or multinational companies (MNCs).
Leadership Experience: Minimum of 5 years of explicit experience in finance leadership roles.
Age Limit: Maximum 55 years.
Domain Expertise:
Excellent knowledge of accounting standards, reporting frameworks, statutory regulations, and finance best practices.
Extensive experience in evaluating large-scale projects and securing local/international financing.
Proven experience in managing mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
Robust knowledge of corporate governance, risk management, strategic financial management, and IT.
Soft Skills: Exemplary leadership, communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and change management skills.
