?? Position Title

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)


?? Job Role

The CEO will:

  • Lead the organization from early formation to full development

  • Ensure operational readiness and strategic growth

  • Provide visionary leadership

  • Build the organization into a trusted and technically strong institution


?? Key Responsibilities

?? Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement strategic business plans

  • Achieve goals set by the Board of Directors (BoD)

? Power Sector & Operations

  • Lead development of:

    • Wholesale electricity market framework

    • System operations reform

    • Integrated power system planning

  • Manage:

    • Scheduling, dispatch, and settlement systems

  • Ensure:

    • Grid reliability

    • Market transparency

?? Technology & Innovation

  • Lead digital transformation

  • Implement:

    • EMS/SCADA systems

    • Data analytics tools

    • AI-based forecasting systems

?? Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with:

    • Government of Pakistan regulations

    • NEPRA framework

  • Establish governance systems aligned with global standards

?? Stakeholder Management

  • Coordinate with:

    • Ministry of Energy (Power Division)

    • NEPRA

    • Power companies and stakeholders

  • Maintain transparency and strong communication

?? Financial & Organizational Management

  • Manage budgets and financial sustainability

  • Develop tariff-based cost recovery model

  • Build and lead high-performance teams

  • Establish systems for:

    • HR

    • Finance

    • Procurement

    • Compliance


?? Education Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in:

    • Engineering

    • Energy Systems

    • Economics

    • Business Administration

    • Finance / Accounting

    • Law or related field

  • Degree must be from an HEC recognized institution


????? Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 20 years in power/energy sector

  • At least 5 years in senior leadership roles

  • Strong knowledge of:

    • Regulatory frameworks

    • Legal systems

    • Energy economics

  • Excellent leadership, communication & negotiation skills


? Preferable Qualifications

  • Expertise in:

    • Power system operations

    • Electricity markets

    • Transmission systems

  • Experience with:

    • Institutional reforms

    • Large technical organizations

  • Familiarity with:

    • ISO / RTO / System Operator models

    • International standards (ENTSO-E, NERC)
